Weather-Proof Your Gear

Pack extra thick socks and thermal layers that wick away sweat in case you get stranded. Waterproof your shoes and carry emergency car kits for snow and ice. Ask about transportation options if storms hit. Hospitals run 24/7 so be ready for extended stays!

Seek Out Natural Light

Draw back blackout curtains at housing in the morning to reset your circadian rhythm. Go for walks outdoors on breaks to lift your mood with fresh air and vitamin D. Sit near windows in cafeterias and nurse stations when possible. Use light therapy lamps if you struggle with seasonal blues.
